HB1126: Abortion or miscarriage; intent to destroy unborn child, penalty
“any person, including the pregnant female, who administers or causes to be taken by a pregnant female, any drug or other thing, or uses means, with intent to destroy her unborn child, or to produce abortion or miscarriage, and thereby destroys such child, or produces such abortion or miscarriage, he is guilty of a Class 4 felony. ” This should indicate the extent to which the anti-abortion contingent are willing to go. The bill is tempered slightly by the next sentence, which allows an exception for induced abortion by prescribed pharmaceutical, but this still doesn't allow for abortion to save the woman's life.
