George H.W. Bush (GHWB or "Bush 41" to distinguish him from his son, who also became president) was the 41^st president of the United States, from 1989 to 1993. He was also the 43^rd vice-president, under president Ronald Reagan, and was director of the CIA from 1976 to 1977.
