[edit] Overview
Roy W. Spencer "is a principal research scientist for the University of Alabama in Huntsville". He is one of the few global warming skeptics taken seriously in mainstream scientific circles. He is also an advocate of intelligent design.[edit] Global Warming
Asked in December 2008 what his advice was for then-President-Elect Barack Obama, Spencer responded, "He should put off the environmentalists indefinitely. ... Tell them we have to fix the economy first before we can afford unaffordable renewable energy 'solutions.'" -SourceWatch
In other words, he's against taking steps which should be a priority even if GW turns out to be overrated. FAIL. --Woozle 20:39, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

- 2008-04-09 [Talk|Index] Global warming mistakes have been made § “At the global climate change summit in Bali late last year, Dr Roy Spencer presented a paper to the IPCC, saying that rather than CO2 driving the formation of water vapour, which then drives up temperatures as a greenhouse gas, water vapour actually washes excess CO2 out of the atmosphere, dampening and balancing its [e]ffect as a greenhouse gas.”
