About

Gore has been a powerful and consistent advocate for action to mitigate global warming; his documentary film An Inconvenient Truth is a well-known, reasonably accurate (and much-derided by denialists) popularization of the issues.

Due to this advocacy, he has in many ways become the go-to figure for global warming denialists to attack, since many people have not heard global warming advocacy from any other source. This has resulted in the creation of Gore's Law: "As an online climate change debate grows longer, the probability that denier arguments will descend into attacks on Al Gore approaches 1."
