Florida Stand Your Ground law

A new state law, SB 436, went into effect in Florida on October 1, 2005, allowing individuals the right to "stand their ground and not retreat (as was the previous the case) in the face of real or perceived danger to oneself or others" and the right to use deadly force in so doing.
