It is often alleged that scientists are more or less evenly balanced on this issue; an anonymous edit to Issuepedia on 2010-07-08 even tried to insert this claim by changing "the majority" to "many" and "a few" to "just as many". This claim is untrue; the proportion of qualified scientists (i.e. those in climate science or related fields) who agree with anthropogenic global warming is something in excess of 99%.
