A memephrase is a phrase that carries with it an argument of sufficient surface credibility that it is widely circulated and hence becomes a meme.

Notes

The word "memephrase" seems to have acquired another meaning in popular culture; I should probably come up with something else -- maybe my first thought, which was argument in a box.
