Overview
The Middle East is a region of the Earth encompassing several countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan, and others. It is notorious both for its massive reserves of crude oil and for its religious (mostly Islamic) strife.
