A pseudoposition is a stance, usually political, which poses as a carefully-thought-out philosophical conclusion but which contains inherent contradictions that become clear when observing the actions of those advocating the pseudoposition. Such stances are generally based on an emotional appeal, and are often used as rallying-calls for powermongery, typically via outrage farming.
A pseudoposition may use the same terminology as a more legitimate position while misrepresenting its intent, in effect becoming a false-flag argument.
