The World Trade Center in New York City was a complex of seven buildings, all of which were essentially destroyed on September 11, 2001 as a result of the 9/11 Attacks.

Buildings

  • The "Twin Towers":
    • /WTC1, the "north tower": struck by AA11 and collapsed 1:41:51 after impact
    • /WTC2, the "south tower": struck by UA175 and collapsed 0:55:51 after impact
  • /WTC3 (World Trade Center Hotel / New York Marriott Hotel / Vista Hotel): almost completely destroyed by debris
  • /WTC4 (Deutsche Bank, New York Board of Trade): heavily damaged by debris; only one wing did not collapse
  • /WTC5: heavily damaged by debris; did not collapse overall
  • /WTC6: heavily damaged by debris; did not collapse overall
  • /WTC7 (Salomon Brothers): sustained relatively minor damage from debris, but abruptly (and suspiciously) collapsed several hours later
