I mean, WTF -- "market distortions" as a high crime? If "distorting the market" was the worst crime the Obama administration was guilty of, I wouldn't be worrying about which 3rd-party candidate to think about wasting my vote on. The market has become so effed-up, so completely *not* working in the public interest, that the odds of any "distortion" being in the public interest have started to look pretty good. Yes, we _want_ industry to "shift resources toward subsidized projects and away from nonsubsidized ones" -- *that's the whole point.* Yeah, it might divert some funding away from other projects -- but it brings much-needed cash into green businesses, many of which have difficulty getting business loans because of all the banks that aren't lending. (You know, because of _real_ crony capitalism.)

Trying to label the solar energy industry a "crony" is pretty laughable too, considering the relative sizes of the solar and fossil fuel industries. I mean, _really?_ Solar energy businesses are bullying our government into doing what they want? Someone is seriously basing an argument on this?

Fossil fuel is the Goliath, here, and solar is like David, age 3, without any underpants on because the anti-sustainability lobby keeps pulling them off and hiding them. "Ooh look, the president's investments in the future slipped on a banana and fell down! See how stupid they look! We should just keep using fossil fuels like we always have, because they're *safe* and *dependable* and they've always been there for us -- *what could possibly go wrong?* " - alludes to a burqa incident in Belgium; where is the news about that? - Muppets abandon CfA,0,2438578.column - euthanasia handled badly by law officials - Ron Wyden admits constitutional violation, but no details - Krugman on Romney and the GOP playbook - Abramoff, "The Lobbyist's Playbook" - FCC measurement cover-up? - Pirate Bay blockade expands - George Carlin: What The Owners Of This Country Want (2005) - exec gives bonus to employees! - Fake Shell Oil campaign by Greenpeace - fertilizing oceans to reduce GW - divide-and-conquer (Chomsky): wedge issues - NYPD drone advertising - Syria - a good overview of GW for skeptics - this is effed-up - mainstream media portrayal of Occupy; black bloc, undercover cops - fluoride in drinking water Attorneys for Texas say study of voter ID law flawed - "Attorneys for Texas on Thursday cited the appearance of former President George W.
