I am currently in an online debate with a "progressive conservative" who is making certain claims regarding the effectiveness of sex education in reducing teen pregnancy rates.

I put together a spreadsheet showing pregnancy rates by state correlated with sex education policies in each state, but my results showed no clear correlation -- so now I have the following questions:

1. What are your conclusions (if any) regarding the effectiveness of *comprehensive* sex education in reducing teen pregnancy rates?

2. What are your conclusions (if any) regarding the effectiveness of *mandatory* sex education in reducing teen pregnancy rates?

3. Where might I find the data upon which your conclusions are based?

My spreadsheet is available here, in case it is of any interest to you: http://issuepedia.org/File:2010-05-24_teen_pregnancy_vs_sex_ed_stats.ods

Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.
