Overview
Dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO) is the chemical name for water (H2O). This name is almost never actually used in chemistry but is often found in satires of informational campaigns intended to show the dangers of other chemicals, with the goal of highlighting ways in which such campaigns may be misleading or inaccurate.
