"Power structure meme" is a term of convenience for any idea or meme whose main reason for existance is to reinforce a power structure.

Notes
This article may need to be renamed soon; I'm thinking "memetic social control mechanism" is a more accurate name, but it's kind of unwieldy (and the category will need renaming too, which is a tedious process) so I'm not switching to it straight away; perhaps something better will suggest itself.
