There continues to be debate about whether or not the Earth has begun warming up significantly and whether or not this will continue. Evidence pointing to a warming trend seems to be increasing (shortening of the Arctic freeze, for example), but many still consider it far from resolved whether or not this will have significant effects, and what those effects might be.
