The word moral can be used in the following senses:
- adjective: the quality of possessing morality: "Is it moral to do that?"
- noun - ethical belief: a belief within a moral system, i.e. a belief regarding the rightness or wrongness of a particular ethical choice; usually referred to in the plural: "Teach your children good morals, and they will do better as adults."
- noun - ethical lesson: an ethical or practical message which can be derived from a story or event: "The moral of this story is to never count your chickens before they've hatched."
