About
Elaine O'Neal is a candidate for Mayor of Durham, NC in the 2021 primary election. A Durham native, O'Neal served as the first female Chief District Court and Superior Court judge in Durham, was the first alum to lead the NCCU Law School, and is chair of the Durham Racial Equity Task Force.
O'Neal has been endorsed by former Durham Mayor Bill Bell and former Durham Democratic Party Secretary Kathy Hall.
