Abu l-Qasim Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allāh al-Hashimi al-Qurashi, commonly referred to as simply Muhammad (also Mohammed, Muhammed, and many other spelling variations) was the founder of Islam and is regarded by Muslims as the last messenger and prophet of God.
