Issuepedia:Three Strikes

"Three Strikes" is an editorial policy at Issuepedia whereby a refutation of the first three points of another article constitutes a satisfactory refutation of that article's thesis overall.

A well-written article should raise its strongest arguments first; if it is doing something different (e.g. a "countdown"-style listing), the article should make this clear either explicitly or by using reverse-numbering or some other organizational indicator, and any rebuttal would then need to briefly explain why the points being refuted are the most significant ones.

This policy is to remove the need for rebuttal writers to spend enormous amounts of time refuting every single point raised by an article, while setting a clear standard which writers of such articles can easily meet (to wit: "your first three points must carry your essential argument").
