About

The Urban Farming Guys is a not-for-profit organization consisting of "about 20 families who have purposefully uprooted from out of our comfortable suburban homes and moved into one of the worst neighborhoods in Kansas City", purchasing homes within a roughly five-block radius of each other so that they could work together to develop techniques to help the urban poor, especially youth.

They are located in Lykins Neighborhood, Kansas City, Missouri 64127, "one of the most blighted zipcodes in the US".

Notes

This video talks about funding sources -- as of that time, they had not yet received any major grants.

Web Site
