About
Schrödinger's joke is a particular form of position dancing in which the speaker makes a statement which could either be interpreted at face value or as a joke, where the "face value" interpretation is problematic in some way. This ambiguity leaves the speaker with the option of claiming the statement was "only a joke" if confronted, while still spreading the face-value interpretation to the uninformed and signalling their support to others who support it.
