** The article is obviously a bit biased... but useful as an example of why capitalists think high wages are necessary, I guess ...except that I can't find the actual argument. It talks about Trader Joe's paying clerks $40k -- seems reasonable (that's a little below the mean US household income, iirc) -- as if this is evidence of something, but then never gets around to explaining the connection to high executive salaries.?
