Trickle-down economics

About

Trickle-down economics is the idea that the best way to improve an economy is to reduce taxes or provide other economic benefits for those who own the means of production, thus enabling them to be more productive -- or, as William Blum put it[?], "the principle that the poor, who must subsist on table-scraps dropped by the rich, can best be served by giving the rich bigger meals".
