About
Concern trolling is a special case of discussion trolling in which the troll expresses a false sense of caring as a way of lending their arguments an unearned appearance of legitimacy. This effectively reduces the level of skepticism such arguments would normally evoke (a diversionary tactic) since the concern troll is ostensibly "on our side".
