Overview
Creation refers most commonly to theories of creation, i.e. how the universe and all its internals came to be created. The most intense interest is often focussed upon the origins of Earth, of life, and of humanity.
The predominant scientific view of creation, that the life presently on Earth evolved over hundreds of millions of years (often referred to as the Theory of Evolution or Darwinism), was controversial when first proposed and continues to be challenged by competing points of view which generally propose that life was designed and created by an external force; however, none of these challenges seem to contain any testable hypotheses, and thus there can be no way to prove or disprove them.
