Overview
A counter-scientific theory is any theory which contradicts the prevailing scientific views without providing any substantial supporting evidence in its own favor.
Such theories include:
- direct creation theories
- young Earth theories
- geocentrism
- flat Earth: very few if any followers anymore
- religion-based theories, i.e. theories which introduce scientific evidence or arguments only in support of religious doctrine
