A hidden premise is an argument which is based on a premise that is unstated, leaving others to attempt to reconstruct the logic when there is a missing piece. Often (not always), the missing piece is in fact the conclusion being argued, making such usage a circular argument while also dishonestly concealing the information which would make that fact apparent.
