About
In a debate, an argument is a set of assertions that logically draw a conclusion from a set of premises.
The only valid attack on an argument is one which shows flaws in either the premises or the logic connecting those premises to the argument's conclusion.
Quotes
Monty Python (from this sketch):
An argument is a connected series of statements to establish a definite proposition.
