US elections

August, 2022

About

Top-two primaries for Washington's US Senate seat and House seats were held on August 2.

Senate

Patty Murray (D) received by far the most votes, with Tiffany Smiley (R) a solid second but with only about 2/3 as many.

House

«In Washington, the top two vote-getters will advance to the general election regardless of party affiliation. Republican Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler in the 3rd District and Dan Newhouse in the 4th District both face the risk of being shut out because of Trump-backed challengers.»[1] ...but apparently they prevailed.
