This page is intended as the "main kiosk".

Within the wiki, general discussion can go in the Issuepedia:Commons area.
Outside the wiki, IRC chat is available:
- irc://darkness.villageirc.net/#politics - almost anything, with an emphasis on topics too contentious for most other channels
- irc://darkness.villageirc.net/#religion - our sister channel, "for discussion and learning about religious topics and beliefs. All religions/beliefs are welcome."

Issuepedia's mission is here. We invite contributions on any serious subject (silly subjects can go in The HypertWiki or Uncyclopedia), and we are not afraid of flame wars.

Issuepedia:editorial guidelines
Issuepedia:editing techniques including a guide to (or at least a listing of) available templates and MediaWiki features particular to Issuepedia
- Note the View and manipulate interwiki data Special page, which shows all of the available interwiki links. (Many of these are dead links or links to irrelevant sites, and should eventually be removed; feel free to suggest candidates for adding or removing in the Issuepedia:Commons area.)

Looking for information? Ask in the Frequently Arising Questions section. Know where to find information, or how to go about locating it? Pick a Frequently Arising Question and find the answer – or just make notes on your sources.
Sources Needed has items of information to be verified; you can add new items, or try to find sources for existing ones
If you find some interesting articles or information and aren't sure where to add the links or references, try the Snippets area.

Most of the interesting action on this site is taking place in these areas:

Terms of Convenience - newish concepts which needed some way to talk about them
Issues - things about which people disagree
Rhetorical Deceptions - ways in which words are sometimes used to confuse rather than enlighten
Stubs - articles needing expansion
