About
The war on Christmas is supposedly a deliberate campaign to eliminate the holiday of Christmas from public life. The idea that this exists as a threat appears to be entirely an invention of the American right wing and is most notably promoted by Bill O'Reilly on Fox News.
The idea behind the supposed "war" appears to originate with objections to any attempt to be egalitarian and not offend non-Christians, taking completely unnecessary offense at the idea of being inclusive regarding what has been for many decades largely a secular (albeit somewhat offensively consumption-oriented) celebration.
Defining this inclusionism as some kind of "war" is logically absurd, and clearly an attempt at demonization.
