The war on gender is a right-wing project to demonize trans and genderqueer people through claims that transgendrity, and everything else science has found out about gender over the last few decades, is some sort of "extremist ideology" of an entirely political nature rather than in fact being science. It is generally accompanied by outright lies about biology, science, and the behavior of trans people.
