Overview
Adolf Hitler is perhaps the single name most commonly regarded as synonymous with evil, due to his attempt to exterminate the Jewish people and other "undesirables" in Germany. (This equivalence with evil is so universal that it has been widely abused in debate, leading to the formulation of Godwin's Law to prevent easy demonization by comparing someone to Hitler.)
