- 2026-02-14 [L..T] A short note to Kristi Noem «Hello? Kristi Noem? [..] Robert Reich here. I hear you’re trying to find the names of people who are making negative comments on social media about ICE enforcement. [..] Look no further. I’ve done it frequently. I’m still doing it. This note to you, which I’m posting on Substack, is another example. [..] If you want more details, just type “Robert Reich” into an internet browser, followed by YouTube or Facebook or Instagram or X or TikTok or Reddit. Or Substack. Then type in your name, or ICE, or the Department of Homeland Security. That will give you plenty of evidence.»
- 2026-02-13 [L..T] Homeland Security Wants Social Media Sites to Expose Anti-ICE Accounts «The Department of Homeland Security is expanding its efforts to identify Americans who oppose Immigration and Customs Enforcement by sending tech companies legal requests for the names, email addresses, telephone numbers and other identifying data behind social media accounts that track or criticize the agency. [..] In recent months, Google, Reddit, Discord and Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, have received hundreds of administrative subpoenas from the Department of Homeland Security, according to four government officials and tech employees privy to the requests. They spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.»
- 2026-02-12 15:02 UTC [L..T] (social post) «Please do not waste your time listening to, reading, or analyzing what Tom Homan actually said this morning. That man is full of shit, everything that comes out of his mouth is shit, and you don’t need to eat it. [..] I hope ICE and CBP actually leave soon. I’ll believe it when they do. They’re still out there right now. They’re still horrible. They’re still destroying lives this morning.»

- 2026-02-03 21:26 UTC [L..T] Federal Agents Left Behind “Death Cards” After Capturing Immigrants «When family members arrived on the scene in Eagle County, Colorado, their loved ones had already been disappeared by federal agents. But what they found inside the vehicles was disturbing: a customized ace of spades playing card — popularly known as a “death card” — that read “ICE Denver Field Office.”» .. «Sen. John Hickenlooper, D-Colo., recently took to the Senate floor to denounce the use of the malicious ICE calling cards. “They found ‘death cards’ [left in] the cars of their family members who were taken away by ICE agents,” he said. “These cards … have a history of being used by white supremacist groups to intimidate people of color. ‘Death cards’ is what they call them.”»

- 2026-01-27 [L..T] Arming Ourselves Isn’t the Answer to Rising Authoritarianism Expanding gun ownership in response to ICE’s horrific violence is not a path toward safety or liberation, argues epidemiologist Rachel Hoopsick. It is a path to more death, more political weakness, and deeper entrenchment of the very forces the Left opposes.
- 2026-01-26 [L..T] Our Neighbors in Minneapolis (or: What I Saw While I Was There) «ICE is there to kidnap black and brown people. They’re not subtle about their racism—even the local police have complained about how all of their off-duty non-white officers are being harassed by federal agents. Masked, unmarked men are simply snatching people out of their cars, throwing them into unmarked SUVs, and driving them away, often to never to see their loved ones again. People’s cars are left abandoned in the streets, sometimes still running, sometimes still in drive.»

They spoke up immediately, telling the driver to pull over and telling the agents to call 911. When nothing happened, they repeated it, louder and more urgently.» After the agent was transferred to medical care: «“I asked if we could just go home,” Amundson said. “I said, ‘We just saved his life. - 2026-01-23 19:12 UTC [L..T] Don’t say ‘Watch out for ice’: FEMA warned storm announcements could invite memes Homeland Security has asked FEMA not to use the word "ice" in its public reports because apparently it's more important for the government to avoid mockery than it is to ensure that citizens receive accurate reports about dangerous weather. This is, of course, consistent with Immigration Enforcement's observed behavior of not actually caring about public safety.

A car occupied by at least two Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents pulled into the parking lot and demanded to see her papers.» Despite being a US citizen born in Minnesota who had never even been to Somalia, the «ICE agents detained her anyway, leaving her family uncertain of her whereabouts for at least 24 hours. Noem said: «If we are on a target and doing an operation, there may be individuals surrounding that criminal that we may be asking who they are and why they’re there and having them validate their identity. [..] That’s what we’ve always done in asking people who they are so that we know who’s in those surroundings.» Pretty sure this is a lie, unless "we" specifically means "ICE under Trump".
